Caroline Wozniacki believes curse behind her Australia Open disasters

Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki claimed that she has been cursed at the Australian Open after losing to sublime Belarusian opponent Victoria Azarenka in the second round of the tournament.

Since reaching the semi-finals in 2011, the Danish player has been consistently playing poor in the tournament as she crashed out in the second round.

Wozniacki said that it was a curse she had gotten there, adding that she had made semis, then quarters, then fourth round, then third round, this year second round, Sport24 reported.

According to her, she is hopefully going to break that next year and start going the other way, the report added.

Wozniacki has not won a Grand Slam in her previous 32 attempts despite ending both 2010 and 2011 as world number one.
