Australia captain Michael Clarke has insisted that his side will not give up despite suffering a humiliating rout on the opening day of the fourth Ashes Test against England at Trent Bridge.
The tourists were bundled out for a paltry 60 in their first innings as Stuart Broad wreaked havoc on Australian batsmen to claim career-best figures of 8-15.
England then capitalised on Joe Root?s unbeaten century and scored 274-4 at the close of play to establish a commanding lead of 214.
Clarke said that they would have to show ?never give up? attitude on the second day, and insisted that they have to bowl out England and then score as big as they have done in the series, the BBC reported.
Broad joined the list of stalwarts, which features Fred Trueman, Bob Willis, Sir Ian Botham and his team-mate James Anderson in England's 300 club.
England are leading 2-1 in the Ashes and will seal the five-match series if they win at Nottingham.
