Instagram is currently testing a new feature called ‘Save Draft’ which will allow users to save your edit, when you click the ‘Back’ button. Additionally, it will let you prepare a post and publish it later too.

In conversation with TechCrunch, Instagram confirmed that the “Save Draft” is just an experiment for the time being, unfortunately. A company spokesperson added, “We’re always testing new ways to improve the Instagram experience.”

Users will be able to view saved drafts by simply clicking on the camera button and tapping on ‘all photos’. It seems Instagram was A/B testing this feature openly to determine whether it is accepted by the audience.

Recently, the company introduced Stories, a feature that enables users to share and augment photos that are intended to stick around for no more than 24 hours. The move is being received as a measure to harness the appeal of temporary messaging network Snapchat in a style that fits in with Instagram's own ethos.
