BIG Animation Infotainment and Media school launched

BIG Animation, the animation wing of Reliance Big Entertainment Ltd has forayed into animation education with the launch of BIG Animation Infotainment and Media school in Pune.

Ashish Kulkarni, CEO of Big Animation told PTI that the school aims to provide knowledge and holistic education to the students and professionals aspiring to create a mark in the field of animation.
    
Other than the animation school, Big Animation is currently in the process of completing its first animation feature film on 'Krishna' and will produce two more movies and
a TV series. He said the courses include animation filmmaking, 3D and 2D, pre-production and post-production.

The filmmaking foundation course is a two month programme to help conceptualise, write, plan, shoot, direct and edit short, Kulkarni said. He said the students will get to learn the complete process from Idea to script and script to screen.

Apart from delivering conceptual understanding, the students will gain real time exposure to creative and business challenges of animation. Each batch will comprise 20 to 25 students, he said.
