Almost a year after his last visit, English author Jeffrey Archer is heading to India once again. During his stay here from May 11 to 19, he is likely to meet some Bollywood producers to try and convert some of his novels into films.

Jeffrey says, “I consider myself fortunate to have received so much appreciation from fans all over India. It is my dream to see one of my books on the big screen. I hope to come across my ideal producer who could help my dream come true.”

Sources say Jeffrey is particularly looking to meet Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The source adds, “Jeffrey is all set to take his story-telling prowess to the next level. He will be in India for the Landmark Jeffrey Archer Tour. He is apparently travelling with his business manager so that if something works out, he would ink the deal right-away.

When he was in India last year, he was approached by film-makers who were interested in making movies out of his books like Honour Among Thieves and A Prisoner of Birth. But he hardly had time then to chat up with them. So this year he is coming with enough time to hold some serious meetings.”
