Three arrested for selling fake diesel

Three persons were arrested and around 27,000 litres of fake diesel seized during a raid at a factory at Mujhera village here, police said on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team on Tuesday raided the factory and unearthed the unit, senior superintendent of police, Vijay Prakash, told reporters.

Around 27,000 litres of fake diesel and 100 drums of chemical used for making it have been also seized from there, Prakash said.

The trio is allegedly involved in supplying the adulterated product to parts of Western UP and Delhi, he added.
