The Bandra police are questioning a hawker after he claimed to have seen a man giving a revolver to another and both talking of creating disorder at the Priya Dutt-Salman Khan election rally on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old hawker, Naushad Ali Kureishi, came to Mumbai from Delhi to meet a relative. On Tuesday evening Kuerishi was in Bandra when he saw a huge crowd at the Bandra Reclamation trying to catch a glimpse of Salman Khan during the election rally.
“Kureishi claimed he saw two men sitting in a car parked near Reclamation. One of them handed over a revolver to the other and spoke suspiciously,” Prakash George, senior inspector of Bandra police station, said.

Kureishi overheard one of the men saying, ‘Madanpura kaa kaam nahi hua. Idhar kaa kaam to pura karo’. Kureishi then approached Baba Siddiqui and told him about the men. “Siddiqui, who too was in the rally, told me about the matter,” George said. A police team accompanied Kureishi to the spot. “We are investigating the matter. If required we will make sketches of the men,” the officer said.
