Nine men who are now in their sixties have been able to stay in touch for over 50 years. Prakash Chikhalkar, Gautam Bodiwala, Rohit Bodiwala, Yadunandan Shah, Nayan Parikh, Harshad Shah, Indravadan Soni, Ashok Shah and Ashwin Galiara first met each other in 1954 at Ahmedabad’s Diwan Ballubhai School where they were classmates.

They are meeting again at their old school to celebrate the golden jubilee of their friendship. These men studied at Diwan Ballubhai School till 1958 after which they went their different ways in the world. But, strangely, they managed to keep in touch with each other for over half-a-century.

During this time there was no internet for nearly 30 years and no social networking sites such as Facebook and Orkut for another 10 years.
