R&B singer Rihanna's lawyer has confirmed that she will testify against boyfriend Chris
Brown if she is called to appear in the court, MTV News reported.

Brown, who was charged with assaulting and making criminal threats to her by a Los Angeles court on Friday, has reportedly reconciled with Rihanna. The 19-year-old singer, who is facing charges for battering his long time girlfriend Rihanna on February 8, is currently out on a bail of USD 50,000. Brown is to appear again in court on April 6.

If convicted, Brown faces up to four years and eight months behind bars. Speculations were mounting on Friday as to whether Rihanna will testify against Brown or not if she is called by the court to do so.

However, Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, told MTV News, "She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do. If she is required to testify, she will do so."

Etra has also said that the "Disturbia" singer wants the case to be over as soon as possible.

"Rihanna desires that it (the case) be quick and expeditious. She wants to get back to her life and her career," Etra told Us Weekly magazine.

Meanwhile, the judge overseeing the case has given the 21-year-old singer permission to tape conversations with Chris Brown.
