VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners' Association (APLOA) has decided to support the indefinite strike call given by the All India Motor Transport Congress from January 5.
"There is no option left for us as the talks between All India Motor Transport Congress, our apex body, and the Centre have failed," YV Eswara Rao, general secretary, APLOA said.
"We have already submitted the strike notice to Andhra Pradesh Government, a release quoting Rao said.
Reduction of Rs 10 per litre in diesel, free import of all tyres so as to reduce the price by 35%, scrapping of service tax on transporters, a bailout package to relieve truckers from interest burden, abolition/rationalisation of national permits and tolls.
