Katrina cancels her New Year plans

The actor has decided not to perform at any New Year bash

While Bollywood beauties like Bipasha Basu, Ameesha Patel, Malaika Arora Khan and Rakhi Sawant might be going ahead and performing at several New Year celebration parties, Katrina Kaif seems to be swimming against the tide.

Kat told After Hrs, “In the wake of the recent events, as a mark of solidarity and support, we have decided to call off the New Year celebrations at the JW Marriott, Mumbai. Keeping in mind the sentiments of the city and the nation we have cancelled the New Year show." 

Katrina was reportedly getting paid rupees Rs one crore for her performance on the 31st night at JW Marriott but the hotel later issued a letter saying that they were cancelling the show. However, sources say that Katrina (who can now perform anywhere else) has decided not to perform at any other New Year bash too. “Katrina herself is not in the frame of mind to perform given the current air of tragedy not just over Mumbai but across India due to the terrorist attacks. When she and the hotels people decided that there will be no celebrations, she could have gone ahead and performed anywhere else. She is a star and people would have easily paid her the money that she was getting for her performance at JW but she put her foot down and said that doesn't want to be a part of any such bash,” the insider informs.
