PUNE: The air hostess in the Mumbai-Nagpur Jet Airways flight on November 4 was required to display a different set of skills when she communicated master batsman Sachin Tendulkar's preference to fellow passengers for a window seat, resulting in a shiv sainik offering the same for the national hero.

"And it was a "Shiv Sainik" who obliged Sachin, who appeared upset over not getting his preferred window seat in the original flight chart when he left Mumbai for the final test match with the Aussies at Nagpur," said a front page report in the Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' on Monday.

The report said the moment Sachin entered the plane, there was jostling between the co-passengers to get his autograph. This, coupled with the fact that he did not have his preferred window seat, seemed to irritate him and he conveyed it to the air-hostess.

A co-passenger-- identified by the paper as Kishor Kumaria, a 'Sainik' and deputy mayor of Nagpur-- lost no time in offering his window seat to Sachin, who accepted it promptly.

The 'window' brought smile back on the face of the batting maestro who then obliged his fans on the plane with autographs as well as photo-session.

The much talked about "boyish" look of the batting legend was visible once again. Conversing with Kumaria, Tendulkar revived his fond memories of Nagpur and his visit to a "Jagrut' Ganesh idol situated on a hillock.
