MUMBAI: By releasing as many as 91 prints of the film, "The Other End of the Line", an Ashok Amritraj production, Reliance BIG Entertainment, the entertainment arm of Indian business conglomerate Reliance Anil Dirubhai Ambani Group (Reliance ADAG) has made a major distribution and marketing foray across North America.

The firm released the movies on Friday through its films division BIG Pictures. This is BIG Pictures' first association with MGM and Hyde Park Entertainment, producer of the movie, "The Other End of the Line".

Reliance ADAG has 200 screens across North America.

"Our association with MGM and Ashok Amritraj for the movie is an example of how film companies around the world are realizing that even in their home markets they occasionally need to deploy special external resources to reach out to their target audience," said Jawahar Sharma, chief operating officer of international film business of Reliance BIG Entertainment.

A James Dodson movie, "The Other End of the Line", is the story of a young Indian girl disguised as an American (Shriya Saran) and how she travels to San Francisco for a romantic liaison and how her relationship with her potential beau dampens after she decides to keep her true identity a secret.

The movie also stars Jesse Metcalfe, Anupam Kher, Sara Foster and Larry Miller.
