3 killed, four injured in road accident

RAJKOT: Three persons including a six-month-old infant were killed, while four others injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Rajkot-Ahmedabad national highway number 8 on Thursday morning.
 
The incident occurred near Sayla town of Surendranagar district when a car carrying at least seven persons of Bhatia family collided with a truck, police said.
 
Devshi Bhatia (28) who was driving the car died on the spot. While his six-month-old son and his uncle Karna Bhatia (50) succumbed to the injury while being taken to Civil hospital here, police said.
 
The injured have been admitted to the civil hospital here. A complaint has been lodged against Devshi Bhatia for rash driving, police added.
