NEW DELHI: 'Bhel Puri' to 'Jalebis' and 'Chole Bhatura' drew a large number of Japanese at the 'Namaste India' festival in Tokyo.
    
The mega carnival showcasing India attracted more than one lakh Japanese to the two-day event in Tokyo.
    
Indian cuisine varying from Jalebis to Chole Bhatura and Bhel Puri to Chilli Chicken was a hit among the visitors as long queues could be seen outside food stalls.
    
Inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Japan H K Singh on September 27, the event proved to be a window to Indian culture and economy for the Japanese.
    
There were dance, music, theatre, workshops, and exhibitions in the festival organised by Tourism Ministry.
    
'Incredible India' branding was all over the exhibition ground and 10 Velo taxis wrapped in images of India's tourism Products ferried visitors from subway station to the exhibition grounds free of cost, according to a release.
