Naseeruddin Shah has been signed up for a Hollywood film, 7 to The Palace, a social satire set in New York City to be directed by David Kaplan. The film will see Naseer play the role of chef Akbar who, along with his friends, runs an Indian restaurant, called The Palace, in New York City. Naseer’s last prominent Hollywood film role was in The League of Extraordinary Gentleman which had Sean Connery in the lead. “It (7 to The Palace) is a meaningful film, but the issues will be shown through comic situations. The film will see these amusing characters talk about the glories of Indian food,” Naseer says. He is also doing Jag Mundhra’s Shoot On Sight.
