KARACHI: Indian cricket team on Saturday gave the mediapersons a miss as they left for the hotel after finishing their net session without the captain or coach interacting with the waiting journalists on the eve of the Asia Cup final here on Sunday.

Around 25 journalists, many of them Indians, had waited at the National Stadium to talk to the Indian captain M S Dhoni or coach Gary Kirsten but to their surprise they saw the entire entourage of cricketers and support staff leaving the stadium after a lengthy net session.

A message was later passed on to Indian team management that mediapersons were still waiting for them at the stadium and efforts were made to have coach Gary Kirsten return to the stadium but to no avail.

The Sri Lankans had held their nets at the stadium in the morning and their captain Mahela Jayawrdene addressed the media before leaving for their team hotel.
