Abhishek Bachchan doesn’t want to get into television even as the medium has revived his father’s career, reports Prithwish Ganguly

Abhishek Bachchan is not ready to walk his father’s line. Never mind, if Big B became a household name after his stint with the reality television show Kaun Banega Crorepati; his popularity has not managed to convince his son who wants to stay out of television.

“I have no intention to join television and host any reality show. I am busy with enough work and I’m happy with the projects I have with me. I don’t think I will want to join television anytime soon,” confesses Abhishek.

These are interesting comments coming from Big B’s baby. He seems to be flowing against the tide as many of his industry colleagues like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have got seduced by the small screen charm.

“Television is a great medium to connect with people directly and be close to more people but I have no plans to join it yet,” he adds.

Junior Bachchan is also going ga-ga over Sarkar Raj, which did average business at the box office. He is suggesting Hrithik Roshan’s name to Ram Gopal Varma to cast him as Chiku (Kay Kay Menon’s son in Sarkar) in the next Sarkar film. “I’m very happy with the audience reaction. They have liked the film and it will be very interesting to see what the next Sarkar film has to offer,” he says.

Abhishek adds, “I think Hrithik Roshan as Chiku will be very entertaining to watch. His looks and attitude will fit the bill very well. It will be very interesting to see Hrithik and Ramu work together for the first time. I’m sure that the result will be very good.”

Rumours have it that Abhishek will make an appearance as a ghost in the third film which will also have Jaya Bachchan in it alongside Amitabh and Aishwarya.

“I don’t know about that. I’m dead now. You have to ask Ramu that if I get to make an appearance in the next film,” was his reply.
