Adlabs earns consolidated net of Rs 47.47 cr

MUMBAI: Anil Ambani-controlled entertainment firm Adlabs Films Ltd on Wednesday announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 47.47 crore for the year ended March.
    
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 57.97 crore in the previous year, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
    
The consolidated total income jumped to Rs 364.44 crore for the year under review against Rs 282.42 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
    
The figures are unaudited, it said.
    
The standalone net profit was Rs 45.90 crore for the year ended March against Rs 54.94 crore a year ago.
    
The figures for the previous financial year (15 months) are strictly not comparable to those of the current financial year, which comprises nine months, it said. The figures of the current financial year have been regrouped as necessary.
    
The standalone total income is Rs 3,242.07 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 compared to Rs 254.77 crore last year.
    
The board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.50 per share (50 per cent on a share of Rs 5 each) for the financial year.
    
The recommendation of the dividend is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company, it added.
    
Shares of the company closed at Rs 632.95 on the BSE, down 0.74 per cent from the level on Wednesday.
