Virgin Mobile India appoints Madhusudan Mandyam as CEO

Virgin Mobile India, a joint venture between Virgin Group and Tata Teleservices, said it has appointed Madhusudan Mandyam as its chief executive officer.

NEW DELHI: Virgin Mobile India, a joint venture between Virgin Group and Tata Teleservices, on Wednesday said it has appointed Madhusudan Mandyam as its chief executive officer.
    
Prior to this, Mandyam was Tata Teleservices' President.
    
As CEO, Mandyam would be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational focus to Virgin Mobile India and would help drive partnerships and strategic alliances for the organisation.
    
He would also lead the team in market building initiatives in the country.
    
"I am confident that Madhusudan will steer the Virgin Mobile india team in the right direction as we spread our wings and carve our rightful position in the tele-communications market," Virgin Group Chairman and Founder Richard Branson said in a statement.
