Rakshanda Khan is on the lookout. Literally. The actor says that she hasn’t been able to meet her match to date. So, is there a problem?

“The problem is that it is hard to find a good enough guy enough in my
(TV) industry. I don’t think there is any suitable match left for me in this industry. I guess, I have to look out,” she said with a smile.

For those not in the loop, this beautiful actor was once romantically linked to reality show participant Sachin Tyagi (who went to win Jjhoom India). She emphatically denied it to the media and brushed it aside as “imaginations of the media”.

She was also linked to actor Irrfan Khan at some point and she went on record denying that too.

Whatever be the case with her love life or the lack of it, Rakshanda now wants to concentrate on her event management company.

“I have been ignoring my company for a long time, but now I want to work towards it more vigorously,” she said.

The actor is also cutting down on her work so that she can concentrate more on her business.

“I want to breathe easy in life. I have been busy with my work so much that I have forgotten how to enjoy life. So, I am cutting down on my work a little and want to concentrate on other aspects of life,” she said.

Does that mean she is going to opt out of Kyunkii? “Oh! Not at all. I have done several shows in my career and I have opted out several times. But, Kyunkii is a different ballgame and this is something which is very close to my heart. This show and its people are like family and I don’t leave that at all. I have been associated with the show for a long time, and I love that,” she said.

Ask her about her most favourite character that she has portrayed on television to date and the actress votes for Mallika in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin.

“I have done several kinds of roles but Mallika is a character which will always remain very close to my heart. Mallika was a strong woman and lived life on her own terms. I am a lot like Mallika. Though, Jassi was the central character in the show, but to my surprise Mallika also became as popular. I hope, I will get to portray somebody like Mallika in the future,” she said. Rakshanda now wants to anchor shows which she has enjoyed doing in the past (like Jodi Kamaal Ki).

“I love anchoring shows, would love to do that again. I have got several offers, but I have to zero down on something first,” she ended.
