Filmstar Bridget’s Moynahan reveals what made her opt for a TV show like ‘Six Degrees’

You’ve worked in high-profile movies. Was there something that attracted you to a TV series?
It was the project. A few projects last year were interesting, but nothing as unique as this. All the elements seemed to be so good, I couldn’t find a reason not to do it.

Does the cast believe in fate or chance?
I think that there is a little bit of both. There are opportunities that are presented to each one of us. It’s just whether we are open or not to those at that point of time.

What was it to work with Indie film queen Hope Davis?
She’s a phenomenal actress and one of those actors that the rest of us admire. I feel fortunate to be working with her. I watch her-she makes it seem so easy and effortless. So far, everyone in the cast is meshing really well.

Are you still going to be doing movies on the side?
Obviously, there is tons of stuff being shot in New York right now. If there is a project that allows me to jump in and out, I’d love to do it. However, right now, we’re still learning about TV shows and getting into the groove.

You’ve guest-starred in ‘Sex and the City.’ Are you still remembered as Natasha?
I did the show for two or three episodes. But my role turned into a complete character that none of us  expected to last through the whole season. I’m very fortunate that I got that audition and walked through the door. It opened many doors for me. I certainly didn’t know that it had this life force that was unstoppable. I’m so fortunate to have got that. With that and ‘Coyote Ugly’ at the same time, it got me through some doors that I may have not had the chance to go through.

‘Six Degrees’ airs every Sunday at 8 pm on Star World
