Who is behind Pak force's unprovoked firing?

NEW DELHI: Three violations of ceasefire agreement by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir over the last ten days have raised queries in the security quarters here on who is behind all these incidents.
    
The first violation by the Pakistani troops came across the International Border in the Samba sector in Jammu region on May nine and five days later Pakistani forces opened heavy unprovoked firing on a border post in Tangdhar region in north Kashmir.
    
To protest the Tangdhar violation, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen A S Sekhon had called his Pakistani counterpart on hotline.
    
Indian army officials were taken aback when the Pakistani Director General of Military Operations expressed surprise that the incident had taken place, highly-placed army sources said.
    
The sources said the Pakistani DGMO claimed he had no knowledge about such an incident taking place and told his Indian counterpart that he will come back after ascertaining the facts.
    
The Directorate of Military Operations is the primary channel to be informed of any border violations.
    
Later, Pakistan Inter-services Intelligence spokesman denied that Pakistani troops had indulged in firing, forcing India to submit photographic evidence.
    
This has raised eyebrows in the security establishment here on who is running the show in Islamabad, the sources said.
