NOIDA: Arushi Talwar had spoken to a friend called Anmol for about half-an-hour at 9 p.m. on Thursday, just a few hours before she was murdered, officials of the police's Special Task Force (STF) said here on Monday.

Arushi, 15, was found brutally murdered in her Noida home on Friday morning. The next morning, the body of the domestic help, Hemraj, who was at first suspected by the police to be behind the murder, was found from the terrace of the Talwar home.

According to STF sources investigating the sensational double murder, at 9 p.m. Thursday Arushi spoke to her friend Anmol from her mobile - 9910520630 - for about 30 minutes. However, while investigating agencies have the call details, the phones of both Arushi and Hemraj - 9213515485 - continue to be missing.

The Class 9 student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Noida, on the outskirts of the national capital, used to frequent the social networking site Orkut and post messages to her friends, sources said.

STF officials had on Sunday questioned Arushi's dentist parents as well as a couple of old servants the family had employed. STF officials revealed that the parents were not cooperating, either giving vague answers or remaining noncommittal.

Arushi, the only daughter of the dentist couple, had her dinner with her family Thursday night and then retired to her room in the three-bedroom apartment.

At 6 a.m. on Friday, her father Rajesh Talwar woke up to open the door to a part-time domestic help and peeped into Arushi's room. To his horror, he found his daughter lying dead in a pool of blood. Her throat was slit and there were stab wounds on her forehead, shoulder and chest.

The mystery deepened on Sunday when the police said Arushi and Hemraj had smililar injuries on their throats, and both appeared to have been killed by a surgical scalpel.
