Following is the list of 12 persons who were awarded death sentences by the special TADA court for their roles in the 1993 serial blasts conspiracy.

MUMBAI: Following is the list of 12 persons who were awarded death sentences by the special TADA court for their roles in the 1993 serial blasts conspiracy:
1. Yakub Memon (41): The chartered accountant brother of Tiger Memon arranged finance for the conspiracy, distributed weapons.
2. Abdul Ghani Ismail Turk (51): Parked RDX-filled jeep near Century Bazar, where explosion killed 88 and injured 159.
3. Mohammad Mushtaq Musa Tarani (42): Planted RDX-loaded scooter in Shaikh Memon street, but it did not explode. Also planted bomb in Hotel Centaur; no casualty in explosion.
4. Pervez Nasir Ahmed Shaikh (40): Planted RDX-loaded scooter in Katha Bazar in South Mumbai; explosion killed 4 and injured 21. He also planted a suitcase filled with RDX in Sea Rock Hotel in suburban Bandra. The explosion did not result in any casualty, but property worth Rs 9 crore was destroyed.

7. Mohd Shoaib Ghansar (38): Planted RDX-filled scooter in Zaveri Bazar; Seventeen killed and 57 injured in the blast.
8. Iqbal Yusuf Shaikh: Planted RDX-filled scooter in Naigaum. It did not explode.
9. Zakir Hussain Shaikh, 10. Feroz Malik, 11. Abdul Khan: The three threw hand grenades at Mahim Fishermen Colony, killing 3 and injuring 6.
12. Farooq Pawle: Planted Maruti car filled with RDX near Shiv Sena office in Dadar, where 4 were killed and 38 injured. He also took part in planting an Ambassador car filled with RDX at Air India building. Twenty were killed and 87 injured in the explosion.
