Madhup Tewari is a Delhi cop. He is also an ardent cricket fan like any other Indian. But he is one of those lucky guys who will go to the West Indies to guard the Indian team for a month.

“This is a golden opportunity and I would be able to meet the stars. I am fond of Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his hard-hitting style and his hair style,” said Madhup Tewari, deputy commissioner of police, who is posted in the Prime Minister’s security wing.

“I would be able to meet all the renowned players and watch them  from close quarters,” he said but cautioned, “This is certainly not a pleasure trip.”

“At the end of the day, it is just a job and I have to perform the task well. I will be representing India and I cannot take my job lightly,” said Tewari. Tewari is scheduled to take a flight on Wednesday.

He would stay with the Indian team for 30 days and would be replaced by an officer of the Intelligence Bureau.
