Channel SAB and VISA International have promised a big platform for the champ of the talent show ‘Fame X’ (SAB).
At a recent event they announced that the winner would get an opportunity to sing the ‘Inspire India’ anthem for the Indian cricket team, which will be playing the ICC World Cup Cricket 2007.
The music video, which will be composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy will feature senior cricketers Mohinder Amarnath, Syed Kirmani and Kris Shrikanth, who played for the Cricket World Cup in 1983 and won it. This music video will express support, passion and encouragement towards the team.
“The concept is to energise the team to win the World Cup. They have the talent to win and will do it for the sake of our country,” said Kirmani optimistically.
Shrikanth recalled, “Kapil Dev was an inspiring captain who believed in himself and his colleagues. If this cricket team does the same they can also do it.” Composer Loy simply stated, “It’s our tribute to the Indian cricket team.”
The dean of the ‘Fame X’ academy Palash Sen, got emotional about his students and said, “I wish all the 16 contestants would have sung this.” Incidentally, ‘The Fame X’ show will run approximately for seven more weeks till the winner is chosen.
Daler Mehendi is one of the judges for ‘Fame X’ along with choreographer Ganesh Hegde.
Ganesh added, “Anyone who comes out from Shankar-Ehsan-Loy’s studio will become famous.”
The winner will also become the MTV artist of the month. Host Cyrus Broacha on a lighter note said, “Hopefully, the winner should be a girl. I prefer girls.”
