LA PAZ: An air force plane carrying people stranded by a tunnel collapse in southern Bolivia crashed on Saturday, killing at least six, military sources said.
The crash occurred at 1200 GMT (1730 IST) according to Roman Catholic radio broadcaster Erbol, which had no information on the type of craft or possible cause of the accident.
The crash site was 15 kilometres outside Tarija, after the plane had landed in Bermejo, near the Argentine border, where a tunnel collapsed on the highway between the two towns, according to air force spokesman Jhonny Vera.
