Bollywood dolls to be launched in London

LONDON: Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra are all set to sprinkle some star dust on doll houses with a leading toy manufacturer all ready to launch 12 inch dolls of leading Bollywood actors next month.

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Kajol will be personally present at the official launch of the dolls at famous departmental store Harrods on September 14.

The dolls will go on sale under the brand name 'Bollywood Legends' and the first four actors would be Shahrukh, Kajol, Hrithik and Priyanka.

According to organizers, Hrithik and Kajol will arrive at Harrods in a horse drawn carriage adding a true fairy tale atmosphere to the event, followed by a visit to the Toy Kingdom where the stars will greet fans and sign the dolls.

Leading toy manufacturer and distributor Spin Master Toys UK have joined forces with entrepreneur Shameen Jivraj to launch the first-ever 12" Bollywood dolls.

Jivraj first came up with the creation of the Bollywood Legends Dolls four years ago. She brings with her an array of toy industry experience having headed the 'Sindy Doll' development team as well as many other well-known children's brands such as 'Star Wars' 'Playdoh' and 'Teletubbies'.

Kevin Jones, Managing Director of Spin Master Toys UK, said: "I am delighted that the Bollywood Legends dolls are being released in Harrods. Having the dolls released at such a well-known and prestigious department store is a great coup for us, not to mention having two of the stars at the event."
