'Jab Love Hua' seems to be in the midst of a controversy. There are tempers soaring and egos flying all over the sets of the Zee show. A shoot for a basketball match between Raghu (Sudeep Sahir), Mirza (Asif Bafra) and Arjun (Manish Raisinghaani) turned into an ugly brawl recently.
Insiders say Arjun was a little irritated with Asif for constantly providing unasked for acting tips. While the scene required the group to push each other, Arjun pushed Asif a little too hard and they got into a scuffle. Confirms director Jeetu Arora, "While the scene looked genuine, it took us some time to realise that they were actually fighting."
Jeetu further adds that he also got involved in a serious altercation with Asif recently. "Asif has a habit of making improvisations while shooting. I had warned everyone to make changes while rehearsing and not during the final shot," he explains. Apparently, the heated argument went on for 10 minutes and the shooting had to be stopped.
If that wasn't enough, Jeetu called it quits after a fall out with producers Tony and Diya Singh. "After I shot the mela sequence, Tony and Diya refused to take my calls for three days. I heard from my camera man that they've decided to hire the director of 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin'," he fumes. Sources say that the directors of 'Jassi…' are charging less as compared to Jeetu.
Jeetu, who has worked with Balaji and is presently doing 'Virasat', says, "The channel had approached me for 'Jab…' and I think it's extremely unprofessional for Tony and Diya to behave in this manner. They should have at least spoken to me before taking any decision."
When contacted, Diya rubbished the fall out but said, "We have the director of 'Jassi…', Romesh Kalra, working for us. But we do have Jeetu on board too."
