Bishop school claims exam was rescheduled

Pune: After dna reported a story in which parents had cried foul that the Bishop School had kept the assessment on the very next day of Eid, the school clarified in their version on Friday that the Hindi exam which was scheduled on July 30, was rescheduled on August 2014, and the notice was given to the students on July 24 regarding the rescheduling of the assessment.

Principal, Frank Freese in his statement, stated that the assessment of Hindi subject which was rescheduled on August 2, has now been postponed, and parents will be informed of the rescheduled date subsequently.
He further stated in his letter that the school had in fact given an extended break for Eid by declaring a long weekend off from July 26 to 29.

However parents are claiming that they did not get any kind of notice from the school regarding the rescheduling. On Thursday, some of the parents had approached dna and said that the school had kept the assessment on the very next day of Eid which is falling on July 29, and said that it will be quite difficult for students to appear for the exam Also several families are from outside Pune, and they have already planned to go to their hometown. It would be difficult for them to come on the same day.
