Aniket Waghmare is yet another victim in a hit-and-run case. The 33-year old was died on the spot when an unidentified four-wheeler opposite the Khadki railway station on Tuesday night.

In yet another road accident, a private company employee, Aniket Waghmare (33), lost his life when an unidentified four-wheeler knocked him down opposite Khadki railway station on Tuesday night, killing him on the spot.
According to assistant police inspector Pratap Pawar of Khadki police station, Aniket was crossing the road opposite the railway station at around 9.30 pm. Aniket, unmarried and working in a finance company on Fergusson College Road, had only just met a childhood friend and was headed home in the University of Pune employees quarters.
According to Aniket’s brother, Amol, “His friend, Ramakant, heard a loud noise and turned back to find Aniket lying in a pool of blood. He immediately informed the police and us. It took the police 20 minutes to reach the spot, and the ambulance turned up only at 10.20 pm.”
Pawar said a case had been filed against the unidentified vehicle, and that the police were looking for eye-witnesses to help trace the culprits.
