Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, accused in the Malegaon 2008 blast case, has approached the Bombay high court seeking a direction to authorities that she be taken to Bhopal either by a plane or in an AC compartment of train for appearance in a murder case trial there.
The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court had last week rejected her plea against which she has approached the high court.
Sadhvi’s advocate Ganesh Sovani said that she is ready to bear the expenses of the journey.
Her appeal states: “No prejudice and or any loss would be caused to any of the Respondents if the Petitioner is allowed to travel by 2 AC or First Class or by Air from Mumbai to Bhopal at her own expenses.”
The appeal will come up for hearing later this week.
