Mumbai women on pan India drive return

The all women team who had kicked off on a pan India car drive on Feb 6 from Mumbai to spread the message of “save the girl child”, returned to Mumbai on Saturday.

The all women team who had kicked off on a pan India car drive on Feb 6 from Mumbai to spread the message of “save the girl child”, returned to Mumbai on Saturday.

The women include Rohana Shetty (50), Puja Hatkar (49) both working as Superintendent in Customs department at Mumbai, Dr Anita Suchak (60) a gynaecologist from Malad, Indrayani Kandpile (47) an HP gas dealer from Uran and Sneha Butala (47) from Mahad who has her own real estate business.

Puja Hatkar told DNA, “People welcome us everywhere to understand the issue and we wish our drive makes some difference.” The women went to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Agra and Allahabad, Aurangabad (Bihar), Kolkata and Karnataka covering 6,000 km in 15 days. This would be a Limca record also.
