A division bench of the Bombay high court which was going to hear the petition filed by the residents of the controversial Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society today recused itself from the case.
The division bench of justice Dhananjay Chandrachud and justice AV Mohta was to hear the petition today, but judges said "not before us".
The petitioners will now have to approach chief justice Mohit Shah for assignment of a new bench.
The petition filed by the society has challenged cancellation of occupation certificate and cutting of power and water supply by the municipal authorities amid allegations that the building was constructed in violation of various rules.
