Three people were killed after the car they were travelling in crashed into an container near Urse toll plaza on Mumbai- Pune Expressway on Thursday night.
The mishap took place near Shirgaon bridge just before the Urse toll plaza on the expressway at around 8 pm on Thursday. Out of the three deceased, police have managed to identify two of them as Hemant Talekar (28) a resident of Uran and Prafulla Bihari (18) who hailed from Bihar. Identity of the third deceased was not ascertained till late night on Thursday.
According to Talegaon Dabhade police, the car reached near Shirgaon bridge, and rammed into the container. The three victims died on the spot. The rescue staff said they found it difficult to remove the bodies from the damaged vehicle.
