After the HSC Marathi and Secretarial Practice papers leaked last week, with the Physics paper also being circulated a few minutes after the exam started, the Mathematics and Statistics paper for commerce students was doing the rounds on WhatsApp at 10.30 am on Monday.

The Mumbai Division Board received a copy of the paper on WhatsApp on Monday morning, and confirmed that it was the same question paper students were handed out.

"We have also lodged a complaint at Vashi police station in this regard," said Dattatray Jagtap, Chairman of the board.

The Mumbai Division Board, however, maintained that it was not a leak, but a malpractice as the question papers were already circulated to students.

Against the backdrop of HSC papers being circulated on WhatsApp just minutes before the start of exams, the board on Monday issued a circular to all centres and their heads to maintain a record of the candidates — along with their seat number, subject and reason for delay — who enter the examination hall between 11 am and 11.30 am.
