Mumbaikars rejoice! Western Railway to run 8 extra local trains on 31st night

Mumbaikars on the western side of the city can enjoy their new year party all that better because Western Railway has decided to run 8 extra services on the Churchgate-Virar stretch to get revellers back to their homes.

According to a WR statement, these services- 4 in each direction- will start 15 minutes past midnight of the New Year 2016 from Virar and end at around 4:30am early morning of January 1.

All these trains will be of 12 coaches and will halt at all stations between Churchgate and Virar. According to officials Central Railway is also expected to run special suburban services for the New Year.
