A Mumbai-based journalist was killed after a head on collision between two auto rickshaws in the suburb of Kurla on Thursday morning, news agency ANI reported.
The journalist has been identified as Prashant Tripathi. According to a Hindustan Times report, Tripathi, a television journalist, was returning to his house in Kalwa near Thane when the accident took place near Kurla's Baba Hospital.

Police say a Tripathi was travelling with a relative when the accident took place
The rickshaw driver immediately fled the spot, but passers-by managed to record his registration number and handed it over to the police. The driver has been identified as Yasin Shaikh, a resident of Nalla Sopara. He was arrested later in the day
