Four impatient teens killed a 30-year-old man because he did not vacate a taxi they wanted to hire, quickly. The incident took place in Chembur on Tuesday afternoon, and all four culprits have been nabbed.

Surendra Singh and two friends had ferried a cab to Chembur, and the four men engaged it immediately at the first group's destination. They – three minors and a young adult – asked the existing passengers to hurry up and get off.

"The delay led to an argument and a scuffle broke out," says a police officer. "The four accused, three of them minors, grabbed paver blocks and started bashing the trio. When Singh began bleeding profusely, they fled the scene. He was immediately rushed to Rajawadi hospital, but succumbed to the injuries."

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 6) Shahaji Umap said a case of murder has been registered against all four, including 18-year-old Krishna Pomanna Boyanna, a resident of Chembur Camp area. The three minors have been sent to a juveniles home in Dongri.
