Dear Mr. Potnis,
On behalf of the citizens of Kalina, we wish you a successful and satisfying term in office. On your election, we would like to take you on a small journey on the happenings in Kalina.

Some of the glaring issues faced by us are:
1 Mithi river bridge: The bridge was supposed to open by September 15, 2014, but that never happened.
2 Kalina market: After five long years of delay, the Kalina market construction has restarted and has reached the plinth level.
3 Kalina talao: Once known as the 'lungs' of Kalina, this natural water body stands in ruins with debris dumped all over, hutments mushrooming and covering most of its 7.5acre land.
4 Roads and footpaths need to be widened as Kalina has a 60-year-old infrastructure.
5 Encroachments by mafia groups, builders and corrupt politicians have become a stumbling block and a perennial nuisance. These have to be tackled with a strong political will and an iron hand.

We look to you as a strong, sincere, honest and non-corrupt elected representative with a strong flair for good governance. Kalina citizens demand open spaces, better pedestrian roads and footpaths, improved methods for removal and disposal of garbage, improved traffic management and, finally, better policing.
Above all this, the citizens of Kalina extend their helping hands towards you. Together, we can make Kalina a model suburb of Mumbai.
