Loharia murder: Cops issue lookout notice for Bijlani, Garg

A Look Out Circular (LOC) against Navi Mumbai-based builders Suresh Bijlani and Anurag Garg has been issued, in connection with the murder of builder SK Loharia.

It was issued on Friday by the Mumbai crime branch that is now investigating the case after it was transferred to them from the Navi Mumbai crime branch.

An LOC is a circular that the police issue to nab absconding criminals and stop them from crossing borders. It is given to security authorities deployed at immigration checks at international borders (like International airports or ports), who hand the criminals over to investigators if they catch them.

The crime branch made its fourth arrest in the case on Wednesday of another real estate agent Sumit Ganpat Bachewar. Earlier, the police had arrested Emmanuel Amolik, Venkatesh Shettiar and Wajid Qureshi. The latter two had been hired by Amolik to execute Loharia outside his office.

Interrogations of the arrested accused revealed that Bijlani as the mastermind behind the crime along with Garg and Bachewar how had directed Amolik.
The police said that rivalry was the motive behind the murder. They are trying to ascertain whether the involvement of the underworld in the case.

They are now in the process of evaluating Bijlani’s properties and will soon start seizing them.
