GoAir flight returns back after technical glitch

GoAir flight from Mumbai to Nagpur had to return back just after take off to Mumbai due to technical glitch.

The passengers faced a lot of inconvenience as it caused a disruption to their travelling plans by several hours.

The airport officials said that the passengers were deplaned and some booked themselves on other flights while few others prefer to take a refund.

An airline spokesperson said, "Keeping the safety in mind, the captain of our flight G8- 142 decided to bring back the aircraft. The cancellation is due to technical reasons, which are obviously beyond an airline's control."

Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is believed to have been informed and an investigation has been launched to find the reason for this.

The airport sources said that it is normal for the pilots to return back to the airport after taking off, if he/she is sure that carrying on the journey could be hazardous.
