Fadanvis or Fadnavis: Administration doesn't know the correct spelling

Despite getting enough time for preparation, the invitation cards for the swearing in ceremony sent on behalf of chief secretary of the state Swadhin Kshatriya to scores of VIPs and journalists erred on the new CM's name itself. Instead of Fadnavis, the card reads 'Fadanvis'.

The CM's surname on his election affidavit and Twitter account both read Fadnavis.

The goof-up left some alert invitees amused. "This was not expected from the state administration. How come no one -- from the printer to proof readers to officers and Kshatriya himself -- could spot it," said a sportsperson. A congress leader who attended the function said, "This only shows the nervousness of the bureaucrats under the change of regime."
