Former Indian cricketer Rusi Framroze Surti, 76, was admitted to the ICU at Jaslok Hospital on Thursday morning after being brought in unconscious.
Doctors at the hospital suspect that he is suffering from a neurological disorder and also doubt the possibility of a stroke. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) was performed in the morning and another MRI is scheduled for the evening to confirm the possibility of a stroke.
Dr RR Pulgaonkar, CEO, Jaslok Hospital said, “Further investigations are on to diagnose his ailment.”
Surti was a crucial member of the Indian team of the 1960s and was well known for his bowling, fielding and left-handed batting.
