According to police, Mansingh Bisht was watering the pillars of the under-construction Acharya Ashram building at Kulkarni road in Borivli (west) when he suddenly lost balance and fell. Bisht's body was later found in the lift duct.

In an unfortunate incident, a 48-year-old supervisor, working with a construction firm, lost his life on Saturday after he reportedly fell from the 12th floor of an under-construction building in Borivli. The Borivli police registered a case and have booked the contractor and builder for negligence.
According to police, Mansingh Bisht was watering the pillars of the under-construction Acharya Ashram building at Kulkarni road in Borivli (west) when he suddenly lost balance and fell. Bisht's body was later found in the lift duct.
"The victim's wife in the complaint has alleged that the contractor and builder were negligent and failed to provide any safety gear which led to his death," said a Borivli police officer.
"We have registered a case under section 304 (A) (causing death due to negligence) and 34 (common intent) of the Indian Penal Code and we will soon record the statements of the accused. Further investigation is underway," said the officer.
