A day before surrendering to TADA court on Thursday, Sanjay Dutt's residence had a view worth seeing. Tight police security and the who's who from bollywood flocked the Dutt residence ever since the news broke. 

Dutt's friends from the industry started visiting him early in the afternoon with businessman Raj Kundra being the first. Following him was producer Bunty Walia who wore a sombre expression.
 
Despite police security, members of a right wing group gheraoed the area shouting slogans against Sanjay Dutt.  They were later detained for breaching peace and blocking the road.

One of the Dutt's very close friend from Bollywood, Ajay Devgan, was also spotted entering the residence in his Range Rover. Both had quite a long meet as Ajay came out after a long time. The Bachchans were represented by Abhishek Bachchan who came in surrounded by security guards.

Later in the evening famous director David Dhavan paid a visit to Dutt with his wife. Both seemed sad on their favourite actors situation.

Sanjay Dutt Trial Timeline

April 13, 1993: Samir Hingora and Hanif Kadawala arrested for March 12 Mumbai blasts, name Sanjay Dutt

 April 19, 1993:  Sanjay Dutt arrested hours after returning from Mauritius where he was shooting for Yalgar.

 May 5, 1993: Dutt granted bail after the actor's lawyers moved the High Court that Sanjay was wrongly held under TADA.

 November 1993: 10,000 page chargesheet filed against 189, including Dutt. Case handed over to CBI

 July 4, 1994: Sanjay's bail cancelled and he is taken to Arthur Road prison, after the Police  find substantial evidence against the actor .

November 20, 1994: Dutt retracts, confession given to police during interrogation

July 22, 1995: Granted special permission to visit ill girlfriend Rhea Pillai

October 16, 1995: After spending nearly 18 months in jail, Sanjay Dutt again gets bai

November 28, 2006: Absolved of serious charges under Tada, but convicted under Arms Act

July 31, 2007: Dutt sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment after the actor's plea to get probation on the basis of his good conduct gets rejected. He is sent to Yerawada Central Jail, Pune

August 20, 2007: Sanjay Dutt granted bail by Supreme Court

October 22, 2007: Taken into custody again after TADA court hands over copy of judgment to him

November 27, 2007: Supreme Court grants Dutt bail along with 16 others

March 21, 2013: The Supreme Court sends Sanjay Dutt to five years in jail. Asks him to surrender within four weeks.

April 15, 2013: Sanjay Dutt who is directed to surrender by April 18, moves Supreme Court seeking more time to allow him to wrap shooting of his films as producers have invested approx Rs278 crore in his films.

April 17, 2013: The apex court grants Dutt four weeks to surrender
