For Tanmay Shiral, a resident of Umer Katha, Osmanabad the austere lifestyle and poor economic conditions did not act as a deterrent in preparing for his class 10 Board exams. He passed the much dreaded SSC exams with flying colours and secured an overall score of 94.40 per cent.

However, Angad Shiral, Tanmay's father, is a tea stall owner while his mother, Surekha Shiral is a daily wage earner. Tanmay on his part, too, lends a helping hand. He spent the better part of his class 10 by helping his father at the tea stall during the day and catching up with his studies in the evening.

Tanmay completed his schooling from Samata High school, a Marathi medium school and aims to pursue his further studies from an IIT college post his HSC exams. He has already started preparing for JEE. The family of five is struggling to make ends meet and needs financial support to help achieve their son's dreams.

His school principal was also all praise for Tanmay and said that he has set an example.
