Data revenue grew 45% to Rs 8,263 crore in FY16.

Vodafone India on Tuesday reported a 5% jump in total revenue at Rs 44,490 crore for the fiscal ended March 31, on the back of data growth and customer additions.
The company had posted a total revenue of Rs 42,378 crore in fiscal 2014-15.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation for the reported fiscal stood at Rs 13,115 crore as against Rs 12,598 crore in the previous year.
Data revenue grew 45% to Rs 8,263 crore in FY16 compared with Rs 5,690 crore last year.
"There is a strong uptake in data and our usage has gone up 63 per cent year-on-year. Shortly, our 4G services will be available in 1,000 towns across 9 circles in India," Vodafone India MD and CEO Sunil Sood said in a statement.
The company made a capital expenditure of Rs 8,010 crore during the year. Standalone net debt for Vodafone India for FY16 is around Rs 81,500 crore.
Vodafone said it has a subscriber base of 198 million customers serviced through a network of 1,37,332 total sites, of which 62,673 are 3G+4G sites.
The average revenue per user (ARPU) stood at Rs 205 in Q4 FY16, supported by good quality of subscribers.
