Beverages major Coca-Cola has elevated key Indian officials in an organisational shuffle which would be effective next month.

Atul Singh, who was heading operations in India and South West Asia, has been promoted to the role of deputy president, Pacific Group, while Venkatesh Kini, senior vice-president – operations, India region, has been promoted to the role of deputy business unit president, India and South West Asia.

In his new role, Singh will be responsible for Greater China (including Taiwan, Mongolia, Hong Kong & Macau) and Korea, apart from India and South West Asia.

“Under his leadership, the India operations has registered 27 consecutive quarters of growth out of which 19 have been quarters of double-digit growth,” a company statement said of Singh, who has been overseeing operations in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives for nearly eight years.

Singh, who joined the company in 1997, will continue to be based in India, the statement said.

On his part, Kini has been associated with the company for over 14 years.
The changes will be effective July 1.
